CAMERA CONTROLS
CREATIVE MODES:
M (Full Manual)- You set all the exposure settings.
AV (Aperture Valued)- You set the aperture and the Camera sets the shutter speed.
TV(Time Valued)- You set the shutter speed and the camera decides the aperture.
P(Program Shift) – Camera sets the exposure, lets you have some control over shutter speed, but there is no auto flash.
Fully Automated- User has no control. It has auto flash, and has an minimum shutter speed of 1/60.
BASIC MODES:
Portrait Mode- Priority is given to largest aperture.
Landscape Mode- Priority is given to smallest aperture.
Macro Mode- Similar to portrait mode.
Sports/Action Mode- Priority given to fastest possible shutter speed.
Night Mode- Like fully automatic but allows slower than 1/60 shutter speed.
No Flash- Like fully automatic, but doesn’t allow flash.
AV AND MACRO MODE:
BASIC MODE PICTURES:
FEATURED IMAGE:
I chose this image as my featured image because I like the contrast of colors in the picture and I like the way the portrait mode focuses on the subject of the photo.
BRACKETING:
I chose not to use bracketing because I wanted to focus on seeing what the different modes do to the pictures then to see what the exposure does to the pictures.
WHAT I LEARNED:
In this assignment I learned the importance of choosing the right mode when taking the pictures and how it affects the clearness of the pictures. I also learned what each of the camera control modes mean and when the appropriate time to use them is.
