Assignment 1- Exposure

EXPOSURE:

Exposure in photography refers to “how much light is allowed to hit the imaging chip when you take a photograph.” In photography exposure is measured by stops.
There are three components of exposure:
 1. F-stops(aperture): How much light the camera allows in.
 2. Shutter Speed: The length of time that light is left into a  camera.
 3. ISO(film Speed): The films sensitivity to light.

       F-STOPS:

F-stops are also know as aperture. F-stops is what controls the amount of light that passes through the camera lens and into the picture

 SUNLIGHT:

The best photo in this set is either the +1 or +2 exposure. The other three pictures are so white or overexposed that its hard to discern the background from the subject; because everything just blends together.
I found the +1 and +2 exposure by adjusting the shutter speed and f-stops to have the correct exposure.

LED LIGHT:

None of the pictures in this set are very good because they are all too dark. The best one in this set is definitely the first one, because you can actually see the features of the person. The other four are to dark, and the background blends in with the subject.

NORMAL LIGHT:

The best picture in this set is either the 0 balance exposure or the +1 exposure. In both of those pictures, the contrast is good. In the other 3 pictures the subject and the backgrounds are either to white or to dark.
I found this exposure by adjusting the f-stops and shutter speed.

What I Learned:

Through this assignment I learned the importance of making sure your shutter speed and f-stops are adjusted right to get the perfect exposure for the picture.
